Comments: What Is Your Passion?

by

As you have probably noticed already, there’s no option to comment on my posts. It’s simply because of the amount of spam that they attract and so few comments from sincere users. I decided it’s much more fruitful to use the time I spent moderating spam comments to something more useful.

However, I feel that there should be an option to comment on at least some of the posts, which is why I am implementing a new post category as well as a type of post: Comment Questions. These are posts where I tell mine and ask others to share their insight on a particular subject that I have recently written about.

The first subject is Passion in life. I recently wrote two articles about the subject contemplating the benefits of having a passion and some tips to find your passion if you haven’t yet done so. If you’re here but haven’t read them yet, I suggest to give both a few minutes to let your brain catch up on the subject.

My passions

I’ve came to the conclusion that I have two passions: Writing and Fishing. Two very different activities, but they share one thing in common: each involve a great deal of thinking. Writing is effectively simply thinking while writing down your thoughts. And the essence of fishing lies, in my opinion, relaxing in the nature and less in the physical activity itself. I see fishing a way to let your thoughts relax. So, two very distinct activities on the surface, but very similar by heart.

A lake trout I catched last summer.

I think I’m drawn to both writing and fishing because of the freedom they offer. In writing, there’s unlimited subjects to write about and although you’ll run out of ideas from time to time, new ones keep coming as you concentrate and focus your time on other things. For example, fishing.

So, what are your passions in life? The things you could talk about for hours and hours on. Let me know in the comments below!
